HEART SONG for Humanity Benefit Concert
The Works of HeART Project and Ground Zero Acoustic Lounge have joined forces to present Vancouver Island’s first ever ‘HEART SONG for Humanity’ Benefit Concert. This musical experience is sure to energize, inspire and nourish the human spirit, while reminding us that we are all connected and our differences are to be both respected and celebrated. (See poster for concert and auction schedule).
The concert boasts two popular headliners: TerraZetto – a dynamic trio from Nanaimo whose zesty, continental music evokes spontaneous toe-tapping; and Sweet SantaFe – a sizzling, multicultural duo from Comox, that delights audiences everywhere with their rich, warm harmonies and unique blend of Canadian folk and Caribbean rhythms.
In the spirit of inclusiveness, GZAL’s own Doug Pickard will lead a soulful drum circle and all are invited to join in!
Susan Pederson – a gifted wordsmith, will weave her way into your heart with her compelling command of colloquy.
Singers Sharon Tomczyk and Micki Findlay will be sharing powerhouse vocals; fusing harmony and hearts together. Micki also wrote a song for the project entitled, “We Cannot Go Back”, which she will be singing with TerraZetto.
The Silent Auction itself will display an impressive array of high quality items, and will be set up just across the parking lot from Ground Zero at ‘Fluid Fitness Studio’. It will be open to the public for viewing/bidding before the concert from 1 to 1:45 pm and will reopen after the concert is over, until 5 pm.
All monies collected from this event will go directly to the Works of HeART Project, so we may continue to spread our message, organize community events and cover project expenses.
